A batch keyword research workflow that saves you a day a week
Stop researching one keyword at a time. This batch workflow turns a pile of seed topics into a ranked, publish-ready keyword backlog in one sitting.

Most keyword research stops after the first interesting word. A batch workflow does the opposite: it collects every seed topic, generates every long-tail variation, deduplicates, ranks, and leaves you with a publish-ready backlog — in one session.
Step 1: gather a pool of seeds
Keep a running file of every topic your audience mentions: support tickets, sales calls, forum threads, competitor titles, and your own product features. A pool of forty seeds is plenty for a month of content.
The quality of your seed pool determines the quality of everything downstream, so spend a little time here and steal ruthlessly from real customer language.
Step 2: generate in bulk
With a bulk generator, paste multiple seeds at once and generate every long-tail variation for each. The output is already grouped into intent buckets — questions, buyer intent, comparisons, use cases — which saves you the classification step that usually takes hours.
- •Free the pro features: unlimited keywords and CSV export let you work the full backlog offline
- •One shareable CSV becomes your content backlog
Step 3: rank and cut
Open the CSV in a spreadsheet and add three columns: intended page, effort, and priority. For each keyword ask: is there a page I can publish, does the intent match, and can I realistically outrank the result page?
Cut anything that fails any of the three. Keep a tight backlog of one page per keyword.
Why the batch method wins
Research done one keyword at a time drifts — you chase tangents, re-research the same ground, and end the week without a calendar. Research done in batches produces a ranked list in a couple of hours, and every week you simply pick the next five terms from the pile. A day a week is the conservative saving.
